The Safed Klezmer Music Festival takes place each summer around the 3rd week of August. The Safed Klezmer Music Festival attracts several musicians within Israel and from around the world such as Simply Tzfat, “Kateline’s Klezmer Band”, Jonathan Razel, Trio Moldova Alex Modovsky, Glad Efrat, World Klezmer Stars, and much more. Visitors can see the performances from 8 venues set up in historic alleys throughout the Old City such as, the (open air concert stage on Jerusalem Street, in front of the Art galleries on Arlozorov Street, Wolfson Community Center or the Saraya, and other stage locations) throughout the Old City, Safed.
Safed Klezmer Music Festival also features a venue for kids where Families with children can see music performances at the Children’s stage in the Enchanted Garden every evening beginning at 18:00.

The Klezmar Performances take place between 6:00 PM until about 1:00 AM during the three day event. The Safed Klezmer Music Festival attracts over 200,000 people from around the world to hear the free performances of traditional Jewish music of both solo and group performances. Visitors can also check out the work of many of Safed's Kabbalistic seen along various streets throughout the Old City, Safed (Tzfat). Visitors are recommended to plan ahead to attend the Safed Klezmer Music Festival since Accommodations in the Old City, Safed (Tzfat) are booked months in advance.
